Structure of the stratified turbulent surface electrode layer. Belousova O. V. Proceedings of MGO. 2026. V. 620. P. 177–192.

A turbulent surface electrode layer model is presented for conditions of stable and neutral surface layer stratification in a clean atmosphere and in conditions
of its aerosol pollution. By using mathematical modeling methods with certain physical assumptions the analytical expressions are obtained for the profiles
of polar airions concentration, air electrical conductivity and electric field under different types of meteorological conditions.

The resulting formulas and calculations of the atmospheric surface layer electrical parameters agree well with the electrode effect theory and known numerical modeling results. Analytical expressions for calculating the electrical characteristics of the turbulent surface layer can be effectively used in the analysis and interpretation of the results of ground-based atmospheric electrical monitoring.
