This article examines the selection and analysis of maximum daily global radiation values. It estimates the contribution of water vapor to solar radiation absorption. The results of probabilistic nonparametric modeling of maximum global solar radiation values at stations in the Baltic region are presented. Samples
of maximum daily global radiation amounts for each year at 13 radiometry stations were formed over a 30-year period from 1988 to 2017 and normalized to the level of extra-terrestrial solar radiation intensity to exclude the corresponding latitudinal effect. Analysis of histograms using the nonparametric Kernel Density Estimation method allowed us to estimate the magnitude of changes in global solar radiation under clear sky conditions that may be associated with an increase in atmospheric water vapor content in this region.
